Housing Has Changed Dramatically

The housing market has taken a serious hit in the past few years thanks to the recent economic recession. The United States has been hit particularly hard because people were given astronomically sized loans and were then unable to pay them back. At the time banks thought this was a good idea.

The problem with this is that since the customers were unable to pay back the loan, the bank lost out on interest and the customers lost their home. It was a vicious cycle that played a major part in the recent economic meltdown.

It was not just the banks and home owners that suffered. pest control companies also lost out on business because people were not able to call them to remove pests since they did not have a home to take care of.

This is not just a United States phenomenon, this is even happening right here in the UK. Job losses and bank foreclosures are affecting everyone and unfortunately some people no longer have a place to call home.

We have seen a small turn around in the past few months in the housing market which is a very good sign. Like any business the housing market goes through cyclical periods of ups and downs, let's just hope that the recent down trend does not re-emerge.
